The design of the stock reg is awsome. It's just a 50/50 shot that the one you'll get will work properly. I put a Bushmaster-03 Reg on my Bushmaster-04 and that reg worked flawlessly. A .002 of a inch difference in the little brass cup that closes the reg at the cup seal will make a major difference. The Macro Line at the bottom of the reg is a ideal feature. I'm currently experimenting with different reg parts on the stock reg. If I can find the right combination I'll switch back. I particularly don't loke the macro fitting in the palm of my hand. But until then my Bob Long Torpedos are my choice for the Bushmaster-04's. Confused

But now you gave me an idea! I'll have to find a thin shim and see if that works.

ICD is excellent in repairing their products. They were extremely helpful in assisting me with my first Bushmaster-04. Greg and Steve are great to work with. Send them a e-mail with the problems you're experiencing. They will get back to you.

The only reason I made the mods to mine were due to the fact that my paintball club are sponsoring speedball teams and we wanted to max out the performance of the guns with out exceeding the NEPL Rules.

I do have to say that with the mods we made to the ICD BKO-04's and the Bushmaster-04, they have worked flawlessly. Thats due in great part to ICD and their customer support.

We have a saying at the club. "If Their's A Way To Break It. We'll Figure It Out."

In our recent tournaments our guns were checked for cheater boards (Chaos) ramping and other illeagal setup's. A lot of players can't believe the guns shoot as well as they do. At a scenario woods ball game last year my gun was checked for being set to full auto.

I agree with CJLOVI on the Bob Long. As I got better I was able to out shoot the stock reg. Adding a shock-tech superfly, and a vapor valve helps also. Another problem I disliked was the stock ball detents. I use the Piranha detent, but first cut a small sliver of the side so to fit behind the eye cover.

Thanks The Artist! I thank you and ICD will probabbly give you a hug to. "Not Much More." We have approximately 240 registered members at our club. We have watched the young guns abilities grow. I have to constantly remind them that they need to upgrade the guns to keep up. When I first started 5 years ago I was shooting about 2 bps. Stock parts worked fine. Now at about 10 to 12 bps the upgrades were with out issue!

Thanks again!

Carl

CJLOVI: Did not mean to make a big issue out of it. I own a BL torp also, and have had no problems with it. When I do I will PM you for some T/S tips. I agree with you on the 50/50 shot, with the stock parts. I just felt that the info of the dyno test should be brought into the picture.

So many people buy markers expecting miricales. We try to stress the point that abilities grow and the marker has to grow with you. In our club we have three that bought Timmy's, Angels and DM4's expecting that will make them the best players paintball have seen. The one with the DM4 plays on our speedball team and is a pretty decent player (The DM4 malfunctioned costing the game). The one with the Angel quit playing paintball because the gun turned paint into a mixer. The one with the Timmy just sold it and bought a Bushmaster-04 and had me make the modifications to it. Even though the guns stated are all excellent markers and expencive they do not increase the players ability. The problem is not with the guns but the players inability to understand how they work. People are buying bushys with the above in mind only to find out that the gun needs to be modified to the players needs. Your input is greatly apreciated. Thats what these forums are created for.

I agree. The first thing I do whenever I get a new marker is read the manual, check the forums and then disassemble to see how it works. I like to do my own repairs if I can. Kind of have to with the nearest pro shop all the way across the Pacific ocean.
