How are PE regs? I found a 07 for 25 dollars. I have very little experience with PE products.

not bad. similar in build to a Sidewinder(hey, you want a copy, why not the best). though, they have 12-14 washers vs. a Winder's 7 or 8 belleville washers. they're not bad. i liked mine on my 06, but i wanted the 2 liter on it, as at the time, i sucked at rebuilding regs and that thing was bone dry(the whole gun was dry from the seller-thinking he got it back for anno, got a ticket and had to move the gun). just lubed it up and it was fine on my tester. don't know if the 07 model differed from the 06 i have, but i think it was just looks, till the 08+ models to the newest SL3 regs.

Yeah, there are a few regs I would rather get, I just found a 07 PE reg for 25 dollars. Even if it needs a rebuild, it is fine with me.

Ideally, I would like an AKA, a PPS, or a Macdev, but those get snapped up really quick when the come up for sale. I think the Hypers are ugly, even if I could find one, I doubt I would grab it.

hyper 2s may be ugly, but they work nice, or i think so. they are again a copy of sidewinders, which is good, and have good low pressure performance and recharge, IMO, since they deal with DMs running sub 300psi and high RoF.

Gladiators, i have one and its giving me a bunch of trouble. got it dried out. lubed it and it was working fine. now its venting out the bottom, and not giving any change of pressure. it was a NOS gen 2 that the seller had sitting around. did tell me it needed lubing, but its just pissing me off. i might sell it, but need something to replace it.

Sidewinders go way too fast and only get $20 off the retail price of $75. which in today's market is excellent. if you want a AKA, like me, you're going to have to buy it new outright and just deal with the higher price.

I do want an AKA, but I don't really want to shell out 75 dollars for it. From what I have seen, most of what you can get used at a reasonable price is either broken, damaged, or an old CP.
