Hey Peters...Does your speed wheel fit snug? On my Empire, the speed wheel is quite snug; but on the halo, it a little bit loose. I am thinking that the belt will slip when it is under pressure.

And on the halo, when I tighten the drive cone screw all the way, (not overtight) the cone sticks. Ideas?

The wheel feels a little loose but not to the point of slipping or falling off.

I had the same problem with the drive cone. I tried making a spacer and a bunch of other stuff to shim it up but in the end I just snugged it down and spun the cone till it was free and its fine now (the screw stays snug too).

Do you have the little plastic bushing in that goes between the rip drive shaft and cone?

Yeah, I put a little nail polish on both screws. I noticed the empire had the same problem, and I have that one back togethr because it locked it down . I put a little bit of glue on the halo wheel to tighten it up. I have to wait a while for that glue to cure though. I am stoked to compare a stock halo with the shocktech'ed halo.

In fairness to Odyssey and Empire, my hoppers did not have any problems for years, (and did not as of three days ago. I have had the halo since 2005 or 2006 and the empire sine 2006 or 2007. The shocktech parts are what had the issues. I think everything will be fine now.

Either these hot rod kits are junk or I assembled the hoppers wrong. The springs don't hold tension anymore. I will be returning these hoppers to stock this week.
