on the the back of my cylinder assembly (the part that screws out) there is some type of grease on it. should i leave it there? its pretty nasty looking i dont know if theres any purpose for it being there or if its just dirty.

i know that it is said not to use oil, but what is wrong with 100% synthetic paintball oil? i have heard that it causes leaks but what kind of leaks? i really dont understand WHY. and the recommended lube is lithium grease which is petroleum based while it is also recommended not to use petorleum based lubes... i dont get it at all. and what type of lube do u guys use?

snythetic paintball oil will eat at the orings, and thats no good. you want a lube that will keep the orings the way they were made but lubricate well. also paintball oil will get all clogged up and sticky, where as something like Dow 33 will not. Dow is the best choice for ur lubing needs, but white lithiem will work if u cannot get some dow.
