Greetings,

I know ICD provides replacement parts for their current line of markers, but what about the discontinued ones such as the Cat series? Are most of the parts still available or am I just SOL? If ICD does still carry replacements, what is their policy on them? Do you need a warranty, serial number, or just cold hard cash?

Yes, I have emailed ICD about the subject but to no avail. That's why I am hoping any ICD guy that frequents the forum catches wind of this thread and can provide a definitive answer. I know the "All ICD's Other Guns" would be a more appropriate forum to post this in, but that forum is pretty much dead.

Thanks,
Dan

The cat series is pretty much done, to my knowledge. That said, if you find the right person, you might be able to source parts.

What are you looking for, anyway?

D.

The parts I most desperately need are the ASA's:

I need those two, but I would like a new set of internals as well. Very Happy

Hm. Those are tricky.. If it was internal parts, sometimes you can find tinkerers who have the stuff on their workbench, or parts they can modify for ya.

Do you have the original (damaged?) parts, or are you looking for parts to rebuild a marker you didn't have everything for in the first place?

I know it looks better to have an original bottomline, but can you get a bottomline ASA from elsewhere?

As for the vertical, you might want to see if anyone can fab a new one off of what you've got.

Off the top of my head, GregICD is the first guy I would approach.

if the damage is just scratches to the anno then just send it in for anno. if it's anything your gonna need one custom made.

I do have another Bottomline ASA, but it looks like crap. As I'm sure you know, the ICD 'Cats are quite boxy and geometric. Putting a round ASA on it just clashes with the rest of the marker.

As far as the Vertical ASA goes, it is pretty much trashed. The pliers must have rounded the corners, which marred the actual aluminum real bad. The problem with getting a new piece custom made is the price to get it fabricated then annoed. With the money I spent on that single piece, I could probably purchase a good condition ThunderCat or AlleyCat and have that ASA and internals to boot. Since it seems that ICD isn't going to be able to help, that is probably the route I will go. So if anyone has a good to mint conditon 'Cat for sale, let me know. Regardless, is there any more ideas about the situation?
