I think I just figured out, thanks to VDubs CAP ram, why a Crammer or ICDU LPC is a poor investment.

I realized that with a smaller piston and thus a smaller ram housing, the amount of air that is required to push the piston forward is reduced. This has the ability to increase cycle speed because it can fill with air and vent faster.

The amount of air required to push a Crammer or ICDU LPC forward is probably around 4 times the amount of the stock Promaster ram. I've found I've had to run higher LPR pressures to compensate for this and therefore these ram assemblies I don't believe provide any increase in efficiency or cycle speeds (as they were advertised)

Mainly though, I couldn't get to velocity this last Sunday and I'm still pissed about it. Bah Promaster Humbug. I'm not even going to go into why every time I get on a field with my Gen2 it ceases to function normally so at this point so I'm shutting up now.

Argus, yes, LPC= Low Pressure Cylinder. What is commonly referred to as the ICD Underground Ram.

I wish ICDU still existed, and then we could have forum wars.

"ICD-O all the way"
"NO, ICDU is better"

etc...
