Tempting. I've always wanted a beat around tippman. I rented one once and had a blast that day.

If this isn't sold in a few days, shoot me a pm. I'm especially interested if it's a pre-2004 model.

They really are fun guns to mess around with but the fact is if I'm going to use a mech it's going to be my mag. I'm not sure how old it is but I forgot to mention it also has a double trigger.

Some one buy this. I had a lot of fun shooting my friends with it when I had it. Also I spent a day polishing the internals. Not sure if the performance is increased or anything but less friction is still a plus when it comes to orings and lube usage.

Here is some information about old and new models.
Quote::
old style 98
--the sear spring PULLS the sear to "cock" the bolt
--the rear bolt plug is metal
High Performance Paintball Markers & Accessories | Tippmann Paintball (notice the sear spring)

new style 98
--the sear spring PUSHES the sear to "cock" the bolt
--the rear bolt plug is plastic
High Performance Paintball Markers & Accessories | Tippmann Paintball (notice the sear spring)

I still have my RT 98 custom. I just dropped a new main spring in it and I should get it out on the field.

And polishing the internals makes the operation much smoother. Thirty minutes and some steel wool goes a long way.

the back cap is plastic but i thought for sure when i took it apart that the sear spring pulled down on the sear. i could be wrong though.
