Well i've just bought a new body for my b2k3 so i have the older manifold/solenoid and i put a b2k4 body to it. Everything fits fine and dandy however on the new body, where the lpr hole goes into the manifold, i noticed eitehre there's a little chip on it... it seems that it's bigger than then hole on the manifold and air is escaping through the sides causing my leak... is there anyway to work around this? If i tell ICD my problem would they send/repair the body?
Body with chipped hole, bigger and more oval:

I'm not sure if it's just the pic or the body, but that LPR passage hole looks way too big.

oh i know... the one in the new body... thats what i attribute my leakign too. its just escaping the side of the oring on the manifold. anyone nkow a solution or would ICD do something about it? Though the body does have some places shaved down on it... so i dunno

hmm.. any idea what size that is? i guess i'll go to home depot and see if they have diff size orings.. what i was thinking also was getting another oring that size and just try to fit it into that hole... but i' not sure if that would block passage of air

A thicker o-ring wont do anything to that.

Another o-ring size wont fit in that hole unless you bore the hole out some, but I doubt that would fix the problem.

I'm not shure what ICD could do to it other then sending it out to a welding shop to have some aluminum tack welded over the hole then re-drilling it.

Double up your O-rings there. Should work. Or you could always plug the hole with a small bar and then use JB weld or Body filler. Remove the bar after it's set (vaseline will prevent the JB weld from adherring to the bar).

I'd got with spittle bugs Idea. Just get your old body and find a nail that is the same diameter as the hole. Then grease it up, put it in the hole, and then fill it in with jb weld.

Good plan spittle.
