Havn't seen trueblood, but my wife has me hooked on the vampire diaries. They make fun of the vampires in twilight alot.

Its not vampires and its not hbo, but showtime puts out some really good series. I have all seasons of Weeds and love it. Kevin Nealon is a boss

Haven't, but based on the reviews looks like I'll have to rent it. The gf rented Solaris last week(totally random video store grab) so I've got my George Clooney fix for this month.
Also gotta check out The Hurt Locker, seems like some pretty good reviews on that one too.

I really don't go to any movies in theaters these days unless the gf wants to go see it. Saw Sherlock Holmes a couple weeks ago, that wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. (Although I do like a good action flick, I do want a little thought put into the plot)
I do enjoy Robert Downey Jr. too (Tropic Thunder was HIL-AR-IOUS)

I thought Coraline and 9 were great movies this year. Recommend them highly for anyone with families.
I'm think I'm at the point where all the traditional movies that come out are just re-hashes of other movies, or the acting or plot is just too terrible to sit through.
Maybe I'm just jaded. A whole bunch of people were playing out The Hangover like it was the best comedy of the year. I watched it and was like "Why the heck did hollywood have to make ANOTHER movie about a bachelor party gone wrong in Vegas?"
Has it been that long since Very Bad Things came out?

Oh, and I just figured I give a shout out to what I consider the best viewing I've ever seen in my whole life up to this point.

The Wire. Greatest show ever.

And of course that made me rent Generation Kill too, which was a darn fine show too.

And then, now I'm waiting for 'Treme to come out on HBO so it can come out on video so I can rent it. (I'll have to wait a few years for that)

David Simon FME! (for my eyes)

Hurt locker is intense. I would recommend it.

Speaking of George Clooney, Was anyone else disappointed with "the men who stare at goats"?
