Very interesting. I still hope they auction off the IP.

Happens all the time in the business world. I hope they are able to pull out of their problems and I hope the employees affected will find new jobs if they were laid off.
Some might say they got what was coming to them but hey that's just business. Companies climb and fall. Paintball is facing some hard times, seriously hard. No new innovations have come along in the last 5 years. The guns are either spool or stacked. The only things that change are efficiency, weight, and speed. Unfortunately that can only go so far and things stagnated.
I would not be surprised if we see the same thing happen to Dye and Eclipse along the way. The used market is crushing them since they come out with a new gun each year.
Companies like CCM, MacDev and Bob Long will likely not be affected so drastically as their products have more of a lasting value.
It will be interesting to watch this sport over the next 5-6 years. It has been a really neat ride over the past 7 for me.
Good luck to SP and their people. I do hope things will work out for the best.

What the H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks is going on down south?
Seriously, the economy in Canada, at least in my area is booming.

There are jobs to be had out there. IMO there are alot of people "holding out" for the upper managment or just riding the "O" train all the way to the bank.

Well, it's like my Depression era grandfather told me. A man who is willing to work, will be able to feed his family. He might not get the job he wants, but there is work to be had. Hence the reason I'm in illinois...

People are too greedy nowadays and wait out for that Perfect job to open up. I can't tell you how many places there are around me looking to hire, sure they may not be the highest paying but its better than sitting at home collecting unemployment.
As for SP, I knew a good amount of people working at AAPP and I would say 80% of them found jobs with other fields or Manufacturers. I still don't see how G.I. is still making a .50 cal Impulse though....
