I am assuming its a fried board, but just in case I wanted to check before I chuck.

It clicks the noid when it is turned on. I've tried 2 different harnesses, neither mounted in the marker, so I know the switch is not pressed.

Does not signal the noid when I activate the trigger switch.

Any ideas? I've sent a useless email to NOX, and waiting for a reply, but I am not patient.

DON'T CHUCK IT! Send it to me (I'll pay shipping) if nothing else.

My long and drawn out story: I got an FSP earlier this year off a guy on PBN. Got it in the mail and aired it up and turned it on. It would only shoot one shot and then do nothing (the switch light would keep flashing though). I would turn it off and turn it on again it would do the same thing every time; cycle the noid only on the first trigger pull and then do nothing afterwards no matter how many times I pulled the trigger. I just figured the board was bad so I swapped in the NOX board I had in my FS8 and the gun worked normally.
Since I'm such a packrat I put away the stock (ICD 9500) FSP board and didn't really even think about it. Actually, I was thinking I could use it as a 'pump' board, where every time I needed to fire a shot I would have to 'pump' the on/off switch. Rolling Eyes
I was working on my Promaster recently and wanted to test a potentially bad noid with another board to make sure it wasn't my board that was faulty. I was rooting through my stuff and came across this (9500) board and figured "What the heck" and plugged it in. I had my PM aired up and I turned the gun on and it immediately cycled the marker but seemingly worked normally after that. I even put some paint in the gun and shot it with the eyes on and it worked fine.
I haven't gotten around to putting the board back into my FSP. I have no idea why letting the board sit for a long amount of time would help, but it seemed to in this instance.
Maybe the previous owner left his battery in the marker and didn't use it for a long time and maybe the battery discharged a little bit to cause some sort of temporary electrical damage to the board (messed with it's memory?). Wish I knew more about electronics so I could have some sort of reality-based theory for this, but I don't.

Oh yeah, concerning NOX. I wouldn't wait up too much for an email from them. I think they are pretty much out of the ICD game and I'd wish they'd tell people they don't service products anymore on their site. (you can read about my woes ordering an injector chip from them on the "NOX board reflash" thread in PBN)

Well, to revisit this, i let it sit and tried again with no luck. Seems like it is restricting the voltage. The LED is very dim, and nothing when I hit the trigger. So I connected my halo battery pack (7 rechargeable AA's) to it. When I turn on the switch, the noid clicks, but not when I hit the trigger.

I'd say send it to them, maybe it needs a re-flash. Not that I'm a board expert though. You may have to wait, but Jamie is helpful once you get his attention. If you chuck it, you'll never know.
