Gawd darnit that looks like a frackin' sweet venue.

I owned DMB live at Red Rocks years ago. I always thought that was a solid album.

AHA! I new this thread was back here some where. Bringing it back from the dead.

Clapton is coming to San Jose in the spring. I might have to buy tickets for this.

Do it man.

I don't get a chance to see too many shows, although there are quite a few that come through Portland that I'd like to go see.

The last memorable show I went to was Thievery Corporation's Radio Retaliation tour. They had like 7 different vocalists from Africa to the Caribbean and Europe. Freaking huge dance party all night.

My co-worker just went to a Bela Fleck show with Oregon Symphony last week. Not really my cup of tea, but it sounded interesting. She said they had those Tibetan throat singers play on a few songs and they did Jingle Bells Tibetan throat style. Also they apparently did 12 Nights of Christmas in 12 different time signatures and 12 different keys. That actually sounds like it would be awful.

last night i went to see Liz Phair at the Theater of Living Arts in Philly. great show. took my girlfriend who, was a huge fan like i am, but went for me. granted Liz isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the chance to be in an intimate show, about 20 feet from the stage, can't beat that.

i've seen Korn, Metalica, and In Flames, opening for Soulfly, opening for Slayer, in August, at the Electric Factory in Philly. the sweat, the pot, and a concert so loud that your clothes vibrated. yeah, i couldn't hear for the rest of the night.

at that time he was pretty much an unknown.. no one new what to expect. he had his setup on top of a flat bed truck next to the lake. back then undergrounds where about the dj's and very rarely did we ever see anybody play live.

he pretty much blew everyone away....
