Yeah, so I made lasagna on Sunday. I'm sure we all have made this terrific dish many times. I did something different though...I made the pasta from scratch as well.

Crap on a Crutch! This was the best food I've ever eaten. I would eat this instead of cake. Home made pasta is the shizle.

Any one else make anything good to eat over the weekend?

I wish. All I ate was junk.

How long did it take you to make the pasta?

It took about 20-30 min from start to finish. Just used the kitchen-aid to mix it and then hooked up the rollers to the kitchen-aid and rolled out the sheets. I still have a ton left and I'm going to make ravioli this week with the left over meat (we only used 1/2 lb in the lasagna).

Frankly it was a little more effort to make the pasta but in the end with the reduced cooking time the whole lasagna came out 30 min faster than if I had used dried pasta.

Hm. I have had homemade ravioli on several occasions. It is a wonderful thing.

Kitchen aid mixers are great.

Awesome, I think I am now inspired to try my hand at some homemade pasta one of the these days.

As far as the scratch thing goes. I invited some family over around the new year and we made a whole bunch of pork tamales. That was fun and yummy too.

We did lasagna this weekend. My housemates are both old dudes on diets. They hate me because I always have stews and indian food and italian stuff that they can't eat. I swear I don't rub it in.

Yeah, my lady makes a mean veggie lasagna. Or you can use lean ground turkey instead of beef - healthier and not as fattening.

Not sure why I've never noticed your av before Martix, but I love C&H!
