Hi to all -

After hanging out with Nobody on Saturday @ Topgun and getting a chance to try out his FS8, I decided to pull out a project FS7 that someone had given me to see what is up.

This gun was abandoned at a local pb shop a while ago when the owner decided that it wasnt worth the money to fix. The store owner gave it to me since he knows I like projects like this.

Well, its a mess. Other than the obvious - missing HP reg, missing feedneck, missing bolt pin - it turns out the electronics are a mess. The wiring harness looks like a retarded monkey tried to solder it, but I think I can salvage it.

The board however, has a broken pin on it.

I really dont know where to begin with this one, now that I see the board needs a pin replaced. I was hoping you guys can point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance to all.

Welcome to ICDO.

I love free projects.

Put up a wtb thread in the BST section. I am sure somebody has a spare board that you could throw into it. Same goes for the bolt pin. Worst case, bolt pins are still available new from ICD.

If the harness is shot, I think sssechriest can build you one.

The feednecks are ICD threaded. You can find CCM ones at CCM's ebay store.

If you want to get crazy with the board, you could do a droid board, but that requires some work.

Pics of your free freestyle?

Some boards had a certain pin broken off because the wiring harness had a 'blank' connection at that location. The board may work fine despite the broken pin.

Here's a pic of some boards and one has the broken pin. If your broken pin is in the same location it might just work okay.

Oh snap. I did not even think of the missing pin. Good catch.

If you need the wiring harness reworked/repaired, i might be able to salvage it depending on condition.

Just say the word. Also forgot to mention that it won't cost you anything other than postage to and from me.

Here's a link to work i did for another member's Freestyle harness.

Thanks for all of the help guys.

Here is another question. Should one of the ports in the solenoid be plugged?
