I didn't see where this one was covered, has anyone done research to see what hoppers work best with what markers?I know for years I used my Halo until it started screwing up(turning itself off) right in the middle of a game.So I switched to EVLution 2 with a Z board, works with Karnie,EGO,shocker(sons). What hopper works best with F/S's? I'll be getting all mine back Sat and I dont think my egg will keep up.I know most have a personal preference but right now don't have 100$+ to spend, any ideas?

i think there was a problem with the board of that halo, than Halo's themselves. mine keeps up with my FS, Ego, Dms just fine. i've never out shot it. i would look at Halos again, maybe a Vlocity, or some other cheaper mid level force feed loader. don't advocate dropping serious coin on a Rotor, but i've never used one, don't know if really puts a halo to shame(though, taking apart and clean up is a breeze.. with them).

I've found that an 'upped' halo is pretty amazing (magna clutch drive and upgraded motor/board). The only thing I don't like about them is the battery doors will break if they take a close-range direct shot. If you don't need to shoot terribly fast, just go with a revy. They are tough to break and rarely give owners problems.

Otherwise there are all sorts of newer hoppers out there that I haven't been able to keep up with, so I guess my answer may be a bit old school.

Halos still work well, they are just a bit heavy and complicated compared to today's modern loaders. I would go with a used vlocity or a Magna or something. If you have the coin, get a rotor and never look back. The rotor is the best Hopper ever made in my opinion.

That because cats paws are too furry and stubby to walk the trigger, hence their slow rate of fire.

OH and they lack an opposable thumb

Well for now it looks like I'm using a egg, maybe once I get to the field I can find a nice used one. I do like the newer ones and if all they played at the field was speed ball I'd invest in a nice one,but I aired up the karnie today and you don't need to sling alot of paint just aim and pow, still has to be the most accurate marker. Thanks for all the input.

I still use halo b and a empire b. Bit heavy, but it keeps up alright. I have parts coming for the both of them right now. I have always wanted to do the motor, but I have too many projects.

I'd get a rotor if I had the cash.

I see JT has not been in here to talk about his Pinocchio or whatever it is called.
