i do believe that the reg is like the other stock reg, the Freestyle and Promaster ones, just the appearance has changed.
would like a pic of the harness so we could see the damage. but don't worry, you aren't the first, nor the last to have a damaged harness. ICD stock harnesses have very thin wires. now, if you would like, send the harness to me, i'll change out the wires, reattach the parts and send it back to you. look here for my Super Saver Furious Harness.

Im honestly not that worried about the eye wire. I can repair that, the wire just came diconnected from the switch. Im concerned about my solenoid, and why i can't get it to seal and cycle thats why the pics are of it. I'll take a look at the schematic for those regs and get it put back together also.
Were are the schematics? i was looking at a wrong one on a different site.
pretty sure i have the HPR put back together right anyway.

ICD Stock High Pressure Regulator Breakdown
HPR

**Please note the the Reg seal in both pictures is not shown. The reg seal is a soft rubber disc that seals against the brass piston.** |
the little brass thing isn't show or am i blind um so i would assume it faces up? when it fell out it was between the top and the ball bearing, has to have been.
anyway back the the manifold/solenoid.. what should i do.. the gasket is fine.. the 3 orings on the manifold look fine.

Do you have any different hprs? It could be jacked, and not be letting air though. All of my stock hprs gave me trouble.

no i don't but i guess i could order one... is there a good cheap reg i could buy that wouldnt' put to big of a dent in my pocket but still be pretty good. and would the reg really affect the solenoid ? i thought the lpr would do that?

I mean, it wouldn't directly, but if it is faulty, it could be causing problems (no air getting to the noid and lpr, therefore, no cycling)
Pm me your address, and I will send you a cheapo hpr and lpr to try out, see if that fixes any of your problems.

Okay so, I guess this is an important question... you guys have been saying the solenoid is like finger tight correct? But, I was under the impression that you guys were talking about the solenoid manifold to the body needs to be finger tight. because i never really realized that the solenoid and the manifold were 2 different parts and the gasket was between them (I know, duh, moron, you work on cars and know the difference between a gasket and a manifold and an oring...).
SO, Im supposed to tighten the manifold to the body pretty tight and the solenoid to the manifold finger tight. Correct?
