Well, the freestyle is still haveing problems with regulating...

NOW THE MI HAS A PROBLEM!!! GAH!!!

leaks when unregulated, regulates to 150 then leaks faster, fires but leaks...

Ill try not to give up, but nothing is looking promising.

Do you know where the leak is coming from?

On which marker?

The MI seems to be working... but when fired it shoots up in psi or it shoots down to zero...

The FS is coming from the noid.

turn down the low pressure if it is leaking from the noid.

The MI sounds like the reg needs cleaning and lubing??

Yeah, your LPR is up to high.

Balance your regulators according to this:

ThcGunSmoke wrote:
This is a guide to explaining the process of properly setting the Freestyle regulators.

1. Start by turning both the HPR and LPR regulator adjustment screws, counter clockwise. Or until both regs are set to 0PSI

2. Stick a barrel swab down the feedneck to hold the bolt back.

3. Increase the HPR to the designated pressure:
(200-300 psi for stock bolts)
(300-400 psi for He Bolts)
(300-320 Psi for Hr1 *timed correctly*)
(200-260 Psi for Fs8)

4. Slowly adjust the LPR until you see the bolt cock back.

5. Once the bolts cleared the breach. Add about a quarter turn more to the LPR pressure.

6. Test fire your marker and balance the regs as needed until you reach the correct velocity

What your looking for is the lowest possible LPR pressure while still maintaining a quick and snappy return.

LPR being to low can result in chopping / short cycling

I thought about this for a minute and figured we would discuss what is going on here.

The LPR pushes the bolt back. What it sounds like is going on here is the LPR is up too high and it is not allowing the bolt to cycle all the way forward, or cycle forward with enough force. When the LPR pressure gets to high, it bleeds off in the solenoid. It is not leaking, it is just keeping itself from exploding.

Also, I am not sure if you are aware, but leave the noid attached to the manifold and the manifold attached to the body unless you absolutely have to take it off for some reason. 04-05 freestyle manifolds are very delicate and will strip.

So by adding to much pressure to the lpr, it over exerts itself?

Aight, took the lpr down all the way, and reg down all the way...

Regulates to about 120, raise hpr to 190 starts leaking with 0 LPR.

Take hpr down to 170-180, increase lpr, bolt pops back, NO PRESSURE INCREASE FROM LPR?

Even with the lpr fully out, the hpr cant pass 200 psi, with lpr in it still cant pass 200 psi.

Is the lpr supposed to increase pressure? It dosent do anything other than puch the bolt back.
