So the FSP is up and running for the most part. I replaced all the hoses and that fixed the leak in the grip frame and it is firing decently.

My last issue I am working on right now is I can hear a slow leak which I believe is coming down the bolt. The resulting firing issue I am having is every 3rd or 4th shot has extreme drop off. If I try to walk the trigger I am ususally hitting the slow shot with the next full velocity shot.

I have checked all orings and am using the radioshack superlube pen. both 008s on the HRs are in good condition and both 017's in the assembly are also in good condition. SO I am not sure where my leak is coming from, the HR1 seems to be timed fine.

On a side note I tried my stock HE bolt and it has a similar leak and similar velocity issues. Although on the HE it looks like the 007 on the stem is too small and is not making a good seal inside the bolt, an 008 is too big for that stem so I am not sure how to fix that.

Anyway thx to all who have helped me get this far, I feel I am close to having this running like new again.

Do you have a second freestyle to test the HE or the HR1 in?

Both the leaks are coming down the inside of the bolt? If you plug the bolt tip with your finger, it builds pressure? Also, check the 020s on the outside of the bolt. I don't know that a leaky one of those would cause a drop in pressure every 4th shot or so, but one might have been nicked.

On the HE, try a different 007. You are using Urethane orings, correct? I will have to take look at my FSP HE and see how tight the oring is.

This might help. I don't own an HR1 or know the sizes of the HR1's oring sizes, so I going to be of limited help.

Leak down barrel:
There are 6 places that would cause your FS to leak down the barrel.
1. The front 020 oring on the outside of your cylinder assembly
2. The 017 oring on the bolt.
3. The 017 oring in the inside front of the cylinder assembly.
4. 06-07 on the valve stem.
5. Valve tip on the inside is scratched.
6. 011 on the outside of the valve housing.

To determine which oring is leaking here are some tricks. put your finger down the feed neck and cover the bolt tip. if your finger is pushed off, it is leaking from 2,4,5,6. If it doesn't push your finger off it is leaking from 1,3. If the leak is sputtering it is probably leaking from 3.

So it does the does the same low pressure shot with the HE bolt? Maybe the leak is unrelated to the slow leak. Could the HPR be the problem? It sounds like the HPR is not recharging correctly.

The other thing that I am thinking is the LPR might be a hair low. That is also predicated on the leak being unrelated to the leak.

Are you using a urethane oring on the HR1 valve stem? Buna orings have never worked for me there.

Im using the orings that come in the standard kit from oring monkey, I'm pretty sure they are Buna as he only lists Buna and Viton on his site and I think the standard kits are Buna.

Ill also have to play with the LPR a bit and see if that is the cause of the dropoff on random shots.

the HR1 stem uses 008 orings and the HE uses 007 but I will have to try some urethane rings to see if that helps.

edit: I confirmed all orings in the oring monkey kit are Buna70. Where do you guys get your urethane ones from? McMasters or is there a site like oring monkey specific to paintball that sells them?

i just collect them and find them where ever i can and hope they are the right sizes. one of these days, someone should get together and get all the sizes that are needed for everything and sell them.

Yah, ICD kits are becoming more scarce, and places like oringmonkey don't stock urethane orings....

markerkits has some for $17 that include the urethane(3x build)

There arte shocktech ICD freestyle kits on ANS for sale for $4 from like 16, i have an email in to them to see if they include urethane.

otherwise ill just go with mcmasters

You can get them from ICD directly; they have them in their store. I doubt that ANS has urethane orings.

Screw it. Here is the link to their store.

www.shop.icdproducts.c...all_c2.htm

You might have to call about the rebuild for the HR1 though.

Lookin at the ICD site they don't stock the 008 for the HR1, so I will probably order from McMaster.

Per the kit makeup the only urethane orings are
017 = UR70
015 = UR90
007(008) = UR90

those are the only ones i need in urethane correct? and should I get the 017's in 70 or 90 duro?

Thanks again for all the help, appreciate it.
