Oh wow.

So, as some of you might know, I am currently in Cancun, Mexico. It is essentially my first time out of the country, and while I've only been here for 3 days so far, it's exactly as cliche as you can imagine.

To start things off:

My friends and I (4 of us total) saved up, and got one of those all inclusive resort packages. All the drinks and food are free. So, naturally, we've been drinking since we landed.

As doug would tell you, I am a lightweight. I do not handle drinking very well, haha. So, literally drinking for 3 days straight has been taxing. I don't know how some of you path animals do it.

But, on to the good parts.

So here we are, 4 moderately good-looking Americans deep in the heart of mexico. The resort is crazy. everyone here is a 20ish party slut girl. I would say 60% of everyone here is French Canadian, so i even got to bust out a little french. Oui Oui!

So, we've just been living the sumer vacation dream. Going to clubs, lounging on the beach, getting hammered at 10am. Having "slumber parties" with drunken Canadian floozies. The works. Not trying to she off, but I just like to share it with you guys.

How's everyone else's week?

I wouldn't mind, haha. I need the money.

I'm staying at The Grand Oasis, if that means anything to anyone.

Once I get back, and get my SD Card reader, i'll have some pics up.

got done working my midnights this week. dealing with my Dad who was in the hospital and now is heading to a rehab place(had a stint put in last week) so i was visiting his hospital which was an hour driving one way. visiting everyday, but will be in the rehab place which is like 5 minutes away.

still hadn't gotten your package yet Evil or Very Mad call me when you aren't so drunk.

have a wedding to go to on Saturday, was thinking about going to a field on Sunday but that's out of the question. would like to actually spend time home and maybe get some stuff done around the house/fixing a couple of the things that people have sent that i've put off because of my work schedule and working midnights(though i normally work on guns, i was vegging out with the PS3, in between cars).

yeah, i've been busy and stressed out.

as for drinking quantities, you have to train your liver to handle it. you have to NOT POUND EVERY DRINK, eat before you drink(food soaks up the alcohol, so you can last longer but it takes longer to get buzzed), and generally pace yourself. think turtle, not the rabbit, in the alcohol race.

I'm a lightweight as well ( hell I only weight like 135 on a good day) and I've learned to take it easy, even if there's free booze around. I hate being drink also, I had a bad time the first time i did it and learned I had acid reflux... so there's a weird mental relationship between being tipsy and sick

BUT

I'm quite jealous of you and your vacation

I'll call you when I get back Doug. It should definitely be there by now. I can't really call from mexico, it's like $100 a minute, haha.

And i've finally found a happy medium. I'm just drinking beer now. I can better moderate myself. With the mixed drinks, it was just messing me up.

yes, I've found with mixed drinks if i'm not pouring it myself, bad things can happen Smile

beer is good though. Hopefully they have some awesome beer down there and not just the generic ****

They are almost exclusively dos equis, so it's not so bad I guess.

I've been drinking so much of it, that I have actually grown quite accustomed to it.

XX is pretty good, for Mexican beer.

Eat. And drink water. Stay away from sugarey drinks.

Its so hard to find water to drink. I feel like I'm going to get montezuma's revenge. They don't have bottled water here.
