I also grew up on the muppets. And sesame street for that matter. I wouldn't say I ever really liked sesame street that much though. When you have three channels you pretty much watch what's on. The muppets is definitely safe for the kids but it's one of those rare things that "grown ups" can enjoy too. A lot like spongebob.

yes, there are a lot of little "in" jokes, or layers to the humor.

though, there is on the Sci-Fi(sorry, SyFy) channel of a reality contest of people trying to build up puppets. its for the Henson Creature shop, and its the one thing that actually interests me. i haven't watched anything on that channel since it canceled Farscape, 10 years prior.

now, now. i don't know if its just my library system, but my library actually gets new movies and series regularly. plus, there is no fee to rent them, and you can get them for at least a week. so at work, and i know its dead, i'll peruse the collections and get multiple movies for the week.

also, library's aren't were the homeless watch porn, its were they clean themselves and sleep. get it right...

If I can get it free from the Library, why can't i download it for free as well? I understand that the library buys 3 or 4 copies, but that's menial pennies in the rand scheme of things. It's not like I'm selling my movies to anyone. It's pretty much a "watch once and then delete" system. Plus, I don't have to worry about all the people germs and children snot that the library stuff is covered in.
