Ok, I know that people with the old halo's without the Z-code buy the rip-drive because people complained of jamming. But do the the new halo's that have the Z-code already installed still jam.

Yes.

My Halo seems to Jam at least once per outing, they say its cuz theres too many balls in the hopper but if I can close the lid without touching any balls it shouldnt be a problem but sometime it is. My buddy has a victory board fr his and I dont think he has any problems

Thanx, I just got my halo (with rip-drive) on Wednesday and I don't think it has Z-code because if I turn it on and stick my hand in it and hold it, it doesn't turn off and back on. Although I did get the rip drive so if it does jam I'll always have that.

the z code only makes it pulse 3 times against the jam then it backs the motor off.

My Z-code has jammed on me...and the last tourney had an unexplained failure...maybe someone can explain it: it stopped, flashing led (like a jam or bad batteries), had new batteries installed that morning. My teammates (thankfully) put the game away without me. I emptied the hopper (using the fill opening) and turned it on...the wheel didn't even budge. I switched back to my egg. Half an hour later I turned on the halo and it was fine, checked the jam pulsing, etc...everything was great. ??
