Hey all,

I just got my protochaos chip in and it doesn't fit! The battery won't fit in the grip because the components on the chip go too far down, and the chip is too broad to fit in the tray. The only solution I have is to put the 9v in the tray (ahhh!).

Any suggestions?

Cut the useless piece of the board off and stick the board in the tray.

The chip itself is physically too broad. The board would fit w/o the chip. Very Happy

a newbish/ghetto idea....... cut out rubber from each side of your grip panels, (maybee with a dremel or sumpthing) so the batterey will have more room, and cut in the other side so the board will have more room too.

Good suggestion, I looked into it, but I think to trim off enough to get the battery and the chip to fit would basically destroy the grips.

well i'm sure that you can find way to stick ur board in the tray. Maybe at an angle? Since there is a ton of room in the tray in the front of it maybe like angle the board?

Alright... angling the chip didn't work. So, I've decided to the leave the battery in the tray (it's only two extra screws). I think that once I have the time, I'm going to do the hopper power mod off of Tank's net. That way the gun will have juice and the battery will be at-hand. I'll probably also intellifeed it at the same time, so it's going to be a hell of a harness coming out of the BKO going to the hopper!

I had the same problem. What eventually worked was that I pushed the board up as far as it would go (only a few centimeters) and the battery finally fit with a little coaxing. Also, I got rid of the stock grip and put a pair of new Dye Grips on it. Everything fits fine except that the screw that holds the board in place won't go in (due to the screw holes not lining up. So my solution was to put a zip tie at the bottom of the grip to hold everything in place and so that there are not any gaps where paint can get in. Th sticky grip hold everything firmily in place due to them being one piece. Hope this helps. Very Happy
