well, i am offically leaving paintball forever ever ever....

i am completly done.

i just recently got into PC gaming and i am going to start building a PC up. so i am selling all my pb stuff over the nation and on here.

does anyone have any opinion on what kind of processor i should get?

this is mostly going to be a gaming pc, so i was leaning towards AMD 3500+ or Pentium D.

so what should i get?

I have:
Prosessor: AMD 64 bit 3700+
MOtherboard: ASUS A8N-SLI (SLI, I can have 2 compatible grafic cards)
Memory: Corsair Memory, 1 gig of dual chann
Video: 1 EVGA e-GeForce 6800GS, SLI compaitble.
(I plan on getting another soon)

Thats about it, I play Battlefield 2 on the 64 man servers, getting no less than 40ish fps with settings on high, but minor tweaking, I can run full setting ups when i get the second video card

America's Army: 50+/- WITH ALL SETTING ON MAX

P.S. SLI Requires that the video cards are the same make, model, and are both SLI compaitble

P.S.S. Asus's new motherboard of the a8n series (a8n-sli32 I believe) in in a backorder craze, I cant even get one Ive been trying, its uses the full potential of both video cards on sli mode, instead of switching each one to 8 pixle pipelines out of the normal 16, when both cards are in they are both at 16 pipelines, totaling at 32.

I like ATI personally and I hear thier crossfire system is great. Also, I would go with AMD. They have been in the last 5 years the industry leader.

I would love a socket 939 5000+ Athlon 64 Dual Core.

I've been looking at a mid-end gaming system myself. I've always been an AMD guy mainly because for the most part Intel chips tend to cost more the the same amount of power. Here's what I've been looking at.

Motherboard
ECS KA3 MVP Crossfire board....Price:129.99

Athlon Socket AM2 4200 dual Core....Price 187

Maybe 2 His tech X1600 graphic cards....Price is 132 (note new egg hase them with a 15 dollar mail in rebate end 9/30. Bummer.

Good memory isn't hard to find I'll probably go crucial but for you it's up to you. I already have a 120gig SATA hard drive to use. but I tend to use WD or seagate. On a side note on reading the reviews of the board they say it isn't very overclockable but for me I don't over clock anyway.

Daniel, Thats a barebone system I showed you, You'd still need a videocard (tag on another $130 at the bare minimum unless you feel like upgraging again on 3 months)
