well im pretty sure im getting roll back, cuz im chopping every ball with the eyes on (PDS)... (i tested it for rollback the way Lopez from pbr told me to) and im getting terrible efficiency, about 600 shots off a 68/45... ive changed the battery 3 times just to make sure it wasnt that, and i get leaks out of i cant even tell where just like the around the bolt area.
I made sure the LPR wasnt too high and when i lowered it a little bit the pressure went down to 200, and its supposed to be at 250. When i actually shot a ball it curved like crazy... can somebody help me?

600 from a 68/45 is normal for a relatively stock Bushmaster.

If you have roll back, take your ram out and loosen up the hammer. Fiddle with it until you find a right position for where the bolt sits, mark it on the hammer, then loctite it and reinstall it.

For the curing problem, get a better barrel.

i tried it with 2 different barrels, Dye Stainless Steel 14", and System X 14" and both did the same thing... but... how do i loosen the hammer.

Take a lighter or torch to the hammer to loosen the loctite, then twist it off.

Was it windy out when you shot? What fps?

Uhh.. "normal" for a stock Bushmaster? Not sure what you're talking about.. my old Xmill, stock, saw 1000 shots off a 68/45.

The general rule of thumb is 10 shots per CI for a 3k tank; 15 shots per CI for a 4500psi tank.

68 * 15 = 1020.

600's low. VERY low. Sounds to me like he's not sure how to adjust his regs.

AKAtheWolf:

1. Back out BOTH of your regs so no air's flowing through your gun.
2. Set your HPR to make your gauge register around 250psi.
3. Start screwing in your LPR until you hear a small leak inside the tray, then back it out half a turn.

You should be APPROXIMATELY at 280fps, but you really need to adjust your regs till your velocity is showing 280 (ish) FPS over a chronograph. Adjust your velocity with your HPR, not your LPR.

If you're getting leaks all over the place, you need to check your seals; that would explain your poor efficiency, too.

D.

i cant tell what the FPS were... just went by the manual i downloaded here which claimed if the gauge was reading out 250psi then it was at the correct fps... (of 280 or so) but the person i bought the gun from hasnt sent a manual yet.
I dont have a driver's liscense so i cant get to a field (40 miles).
What seals, like on what?, sorry i dont know much about my gun, person i bought it from must not of realized i hardly new anything... its the first ram/poppet gun ive ever used/seen so sorry if my replies are really stupid.
i dont have a torch or a lighter Sad
should i get new detents/longer bolt? cuz i dont want to screw with my stuff and then it get ruined somehow.....

Check the files/manuals section here and download the appropriate one.

Seals.. .the o-rings.. like on your valve, LPR, ram, etc..

Don't mess with a new bolt or detents; get the basics working first and worry about upgrades later. Smile

Actually you might want to check the detent and make sure it's not stuck. Especially if it's metal, they rust.

ok ima check the detent, cuz it is a metal one, and should i look from broken o-rings? or just make sure there are o-rings in general... well both i suppose? >_>

EDIT: Well I just found out that I've somehow blown the solenoid, the gun doesnt cycle, and i can move the bolt back and forth when the air is engaged...
