My dad owns a floor prep bussiness, so from the time I was old enough to push a broom I had to go to work with him on weekends, summers, and whenever I wasn't in school

Sweeping up debris so the concrete floors could be sanded wasn't bad at all, but then I started sanding, at the housing tract at 7am, and we didn't leave for home untill we got kicked out, ran out of work, and the sun went down

Hours being hunched over or squatting, sanding concrete floors left me pretty sore

But it got better!! My dad decided that we would start doing concrete grinding, and floor demolitions, and we didn't get to use crow bars and hammers like everyone else to remove flooring, no, we were better we got to use huge pry bars and heavy @ss demolition hammers( pretty much a redesigned jackhammer that's 30 to 45 pounds in general) and use those all day to take out floors...

Hauling 2500 sq ft of marble was so fun, espescially when we had to cart it down stairs, thru the living room, down a hall way, thru the entry way and down a 30 foot driveway..

Mexican tile was the best, it always shatters and leaves you with cuts all over your arms, face, ect, but the dust created cakes on you so much it stops the bleeding

Yes you could wear goggles, but due to the dust you wouldn't be able to see in two mnutes, and we had dust masks that made it hard to breathe

And sometimes we have multiple jobs running a day, fun fun, and then there we the scrapers, long 8 inch razor blades, can you guess how many times we got cut changing our blades? A lot....

After that job, myself, my brother, my cousins, and our friends who worked for my dad never complained about hard work again

The next job I had was a pressman, always covered in ink, crawling inside of printing units, almost getting my fingers caught inside the machine idk how many times, twelve hours shifts, and working every single weekend for five years, I was let go from there three weeks ago and the stains of ink on my hands are finally gone, lol

I remember I laid mexican tile with my dad once. God, that was a job. I can't imagine doing it more than once.

I demo'ed out a house full of tile over the summer. I used a Bosch rotor hammer/drill to break and lift the tiles and pulled the hardie backer out with a five foot crow bar. I had to haul the mess to the trailer in five gallon buckets. We had to get the "old" tile out and the new hardwood laid within ten days so the painters could come and the family could move in. There was other stuff too, but that was the hard work.

I hate pulling the carpet out of rentals. We do property maintenance for a property management company. That carpet gets nasty.
