Gerard Butler is pretty awesome, so I have been waiting for Olympus has Fallen to make it onto netflix.

I tried to watch the new Mission Impossible movie a few months ago. I will see most movies through to the end, no matter how bad they are. With that being said, I couldn't get through that movie.

I don't know what to say about Oblivion. It looked kinda like a knock off Matrix, but I generally shy away from Tom Cruise too.

I figured out District 9 early on too, but that was a helluva good movie. I liked how gritty and dark it was.

I just watched the first episode of Breaking Bad last night. I am looking forward to watching more of it.

Doug, Since I know you like Black and White westerns, I thought this might interest you:

well, most recently, i have been deep into Game of Thrones. watched the first 2 seasons which were incredible, then read the first 2 books. took about 2 weeks for the books. i would have read them faster but having to take breaks for actually doing work at work and to help prep and attend a wedding had me busy. had a friend burn season 3, which i will be borrowing the 3rd book for and will read that after watching.

with something like GoT, having the books and watching the show helps immensely, as even though the show does deviate from the books, in the scope(i.e. the books have so many minor characters that fill out the story, where its just not a few people with a lot of voice the actions all center around them like in the Lord of the Rings, but that fill out the breadth an entire land) and how it may get from Point A to Point E in the chapter. where as the show in order to fill out an hour episode, has to skip over a few points, eliminate those minor characters, but stick to the plot and the plot points in order to keep true to overall story. so it is a difference to see the full or true story compared to the show. but if you are a student of film or a story, it is interesting to see the how the show makes its changes.

yes i did. to sum it up. the dwarves get captured by everyone and are pathetic. its beautiful and Smaug truly represents the grandeur of what a dragon should be and act. worth the price of admission, and if you like that fantasy of the LotR.

madea's Christmas - 5/10. my wife loves madea so we end up seeing them all. this was weaker than witness protection though it was still kind of funny.

inappropriate comedy - 1/10. one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time.

pacific rim - 6/10. giant robots vs giant other dimensional creatures. if you get past the "why create giant robots that have to fight hand to hand with the creatures instead of giant cannons to defend the cities?" it's pretty cool.

the muppets most wanted - 9/10. loved the last one & this one was easily as good. "you've waka'd your last waka, bear" is now on my list of all time favorite movie lines.

^ That's good to hear, some people think the muppet's are weird, but I enjoy the clean humor they have to offer.

The original Muppet Show... that was one of my favorites when I was a kid.

I wish I'd grown up on the muppets, though I think that sesame street should count for something. that show has changed for the worst, though. It's not anywhere near what it used to be.
