To elaborate, the GBR (Greg Brenden Ram) is a two stage machanical anti chop ram for the Bushmaster/Defiant platforn. Brenden and I had talked about redisigning the MAC ram that Travis (Shootpaint) had produced. We never got any further than bouncing ideas and requirements back and forth. Then Brenden got with Greg Schutte and they got everything worked out and simplified so that they had a ram that was anti chop, field rebuidable, crazy fast, and was only three pieces, not counting orings and the bolt pin. They are highly sought after and when Greg does a run, they usually sell out quickly.

Yeah Defiance and I became partners when the eye was developed. He helped add the code for that to what we had going already. I still remember those days... He lived in Arkansas and me in Michigan. We would be on the phone talking while emailing code back and forth. I'd be flashing revisions of code to the atmel chips and firing paintballs out the back door to test it out until we got it right.

Speaking of eyes, the guy who owns the field I play at, claims to have had a major part in the concept of using eyes in paintball. His name is Micah Wilder and he's an engineer who works in the Indianapolis-ish area (i think) He's got some insane stories too, if you sit down and talk with him; he's a really cool guy.

I went back to school for Computer Aided Drafting & Design, and I'm taking over 18 credits this semester plus two CNC classes so I can graduate in May.

At least now I can draw up the mods in 2d or 3d, and even simulate their operation before even cutting anything. I used to just give it a good look over and decide where to cut next, then clamp them down Smile

That's awesome. Thanks for all the background and information you've brought over here; it's very cool to hear the various histories and things you've been involved with!

Timber I would gladly work with you if you were/are hinting at designing a custom bushy body. For me, timeframe is not an issue; I'd only be interested in quality and uniqueness. And I know for a fact there are several others around here who would also be happy to assist you in any way possible to machine a completely new run. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Maybe some specs. Updated parts?

How many were made (I have heard 2)
Who has them now
Why you chose the bushy misc. stuff

That Silver to Red fade Microbushy use to belong to my teammates. Our team... Capital Punishment (small CA team, not the other well known Capital Punishment) was sponsored by Ken from KPCS. At the time when people were rocking Sandridge cockers, Defiance and Timberwolf got together and thought it'd be cool to put those amtel eyes on Bushmasters/Defiants.

Ken sponsored us with discounted milling. My teammate Dan went with a Micro cut. Ken milled it. Mike from Timberwolf worried about the electronics. The tray was basically cut in half and the Chaos chip had to be soldered to the existing board to make room for everything. It was a very tight fit compared to the T1/T2 kit we have now. Not sure if you guys know but intellifeed was also a feature on the Chaos boards. Everytime you pulled the trigger, the revy would spin. Also, the gun would be powered by the revvy batteries. The microbushy didn't have the 9volts battery or the small battery the T1 kit used. Just a bit more info.

Here is a pic of my bushy with the intellifeed Mike hooked up.

I believe only 1 microbushy was created and 1 micro defiant. I know Dan sold the microbushy. But I can't remember who has it now. All this happened back in the late 90s or early 2000.

As you can see, it has a cable that connects from the revvy to bushy.

sweet looking Defiant. Rigger Frame, Zentrim vert, hosed micro rock, and the old school Omron reflective eye. yeah, i was around when the intellifeeds where the only way to get something even more out of a revy than was normally possible.
