Seems like the lone skeleton crew at AA is liquidating NOS equipment to jump start a return to PB. I for one loved their regs, both in function and looks. You can read the whole story and pick up some parts here.

Maybe someone in charge would like to extend an invitation to have them become a dealer over here on ICDO, that would be pretty neat.

I must have missed out on the big deal about Air america. I know they they're an old regulator company, but I couldn't' tell you what their product looked like, or what tanks they were on.

the bigger question is if they can be competitive with Ninja.

They made the Messiah and Vigilante vertical regs, but made other PB regulators as well that I'm not personally familiar with. They have also manufactured components for the military, aviation, and the space program. Highly undervalued in the resale market, mostly because nobody knows what they are.

Big news coming from me/us/ Air America soon. Even bigger than releasing the new old stock.

Yes air america is posing to make a sort of return on a limited basis. Getting all my ducks in a row now. Looking at a very big Living Legends this year

I had a Vigilante HPR, but for the life of me I can't remember what I did with it.

The quick of it was. Tom Kaye of AGD developed HPA for use in paintball. He didn't see or felt that others could do it better. Sold he design/stake in HPA to the people that started Air America(hence, if you ever took apart a mag valve, the same design was used in 90% of AA regs). They were the first to make/market HPA in paintball. They made the Raptor, Armageddon, Apocalypse, Unireg(ever use a Gen-X HPR from ANS? That is a direct copy of the reg), Black Ice, Violator, Vigilante(a licensed copy was used by ICD for the Lasoya HPR), Messiah, Me'lee regs. Just to name a few. Plus, if you wanted a 4500psi tank, Air America was the first place to go.

If anything, they made great regs that worked, had no problems and reliable as all hell. It was just the advent and easier use(and price point- a new Geddon adjustable tank 68/4500 was $440 Shocked )of the preset regs that lead to the "death" of AA.

I am happy that they are coming back.

I think it's on my red promaster, I'll have to unpack and look again.

I'll leave it as both companies had one employee who worked for both. Some files may have made there way across the companies without knowledge.

The employee may have worked for Dan Colby first.

Now as far as who got them out in the eyes of people, AGD had the guns working but only used HPA for thier own team, everyone else was still on CO2, until AA released the products.
AA is also responsible for many of the bottle sizes, with Dan still in possession of serial number 1 for most cylindes
