PostPosted: Thu May 20, 2004 2:07 pm    Post subject: BKO - chopping as he*l

I have been a Tippmann-man in my whole paintball "career", but yesterday I received my used 2003 BKO.

I adjusted the marker to do appr. 290-295 fps.

Now, starting out with a standard none-motorized hopper, it didn't take long before I started chopping paint.

So I went over to my buddys and borrowed his Halo B. But still I am chopping paint !! Appr. every 50 shot it chops.

The paintballs (Draxxus Blaze) are in excellent condition. Nothing wrong with them.

I have searched the forum, but have not found anything "useful" yet. Anybody out there that have a suggestion or two ??

hmmmm did the halo reduce the number of chops? if so, that just cured blow back.....but how fast are you shooting? some blowback can really slug down your bps rate...

also, wut psi are u running at?

max

The halo could be pushing past the detent. search for the macro detent mod, it might help you out.

Forgot to mention, the marker is 100% standard. No eye.

To answer your questions:
- The Halo didn't reduce the number of chops.
- The marker is running at appr. 200 psi
- I don't know how fast I am shooting. Properbly not very fast. This is my first el.marker.

PS! I did a search, but I didn't find anything on the macro detent mod.

Did the detent-mod, but it didn't help.

This time I tried with a Revo 12V mag with x-board.

In 150 shots it chopped 8-10 times. What a sh*t marker !!

It works fine if I fire singel og double shots. But if I go beyond that - CHOP!! I can shot better and faster with a standard Tippy 98 !

As this is my first el.marker, I don't this I can shot that fast. I guess 10 +/- bps. But again, that is just my guess.

I am really starting to regret buying this marker Sad

Any tips ??

ummmmm im pretty sure that you have blowback that is caused by the bolt returning but the valve staying open, shooting air up.....thats wuts wrong with mine...

try turning ur hpr down to 200
then adjusting ur lpr to ur fps

max

This is getting stranger and stranger.

I did what you said. I adjusted the reg to 200, and than did the described adjustment of the lpr. Turn clockwise until I heard a small leak. Than I turned it back 1/2 turn.

After that I did have that much trouble with chopping. Only maybe 1-2 balls out of 150 balls chopped.

But something else has got to be wrong.

I had my bottle filled all up. Appr. 3000 psi. I could only do 300 +/- shot before the bottle was empty !! I could not hear any leaks. And the pressure "jumped" between 150 and 300 all the time. I also got a huge difference on the chrono. Going up and down between 250 and 320. That is proberbly due to the pressure going up and down ?
