It seemed too. I replaced the 007 buna with another buna, and it sealed fine. But when I took the bolt apart again, there was a lot of black "dirt" all over the delrin tube, so I am sure it would not be long before it would start leaking again.

I am going to just order some poly o-rings next week, as my wife will be gone next weekend so I can work on it all i want Smile

In making the tube, he had to pull the tool out and remove some of the plastic, as it was welding to the tool. so there is a slight hump on the inside of the tube. He said he will make a couple more tubes once I prove it is just the o-ring material and change the feed rate so it does not build up like that on the tool.

Ok, so I got in the correct o-rings.....annnnnd, still have a slight leak.

It smaller, but still getting a pressure build up when I put my finger over the bolt tip.

I tried putting some Dow 55 on the outside of the cylinder o-rings, and any of the internal ones that did not touch a moving part.

I replaced all the o-rings that is recommended to replace on the leak guides.

I also replaced some of the o-rings under the manifolds as well.

Any more ideas???

Ok, I had my machinist friend make up another set of valve tips, and I am still getting a leak.

I have taped the crap out of the outside of the valve tip and put a new o-ring on it, and I am still leaking. The bore is even under sized slightly, so I am guessing it is leaking from somewhere else, but I am out of ideas.

anyone wanting to take this on in person??

You might want to actually take it out to a field and play with it and see if it gives you that problem out on the field. I know it's crazy, but I find a lot of stuff acts totally differently at home than when I'm out on the field.

Yeah, it's an FS so you want it to have the most efficiency you can get out of it, but it seems like a case of diminished returns. Seems like you're putting a lot of effort into getting maybe another 50-100 shots over the course of a tank fill. How much gas are you losing? Turn on your air, then shut it off. Watch the HPR gauge. Does it go down to 200psi in 2 minutes? 5 minutes? 10 minutes?

I had a Puma with a barrel leak and tried everything at my disposal to fix it. I finally just decided to play with it one day and it worked just fine. I think it still retained a tiny leak, but it so small it didn't really affect my efficiency or my game.

Also, maybe swap a stock powertube tip on there to see if that does anything.

I put the stock delrin valve tip back in, and the leak was worse.

So I put my machined one in, redid the tape, and the leak was no longer audible, but still a tiny leak per the gauge.

It took 4-5 min for the pressure to drop to 200 PSI.

I suppose I can just flick the on/off to off after each game to save on some air.

Hm... That is weird.

I wonder if there is an issue with the valve pin. Maybe it is scratched somewhere and there is a bur that is slowly damaging the valve tip. Kinda far fetched, but it is all I have.

There are some plier marks from taking the pin on and off so much, but that is way smaller than the bore of the tip, and I would not think it would tilt to such a degree to touch the valve tip when it was fully extended.

And there are not any burrs that I can see on the front half of the valve pin, especially one that is taller than the o-ring.

Who knows.... Confused
