When you try to push it, look in the set screw hole and make sure that the oring is not catching, if it is, push it back down and keep pushing on the valve body. There should be nothing else for the valve body to catch on.

Stupid thought, but you are trying to push it out the front, right???

hmm. the guage should not be obstructing the valve. so lets just make sure your doing this correctly.

1. remove the lpr, vavle spring, and cup seal/stem.
2. remove the ram
3. remove the valve set screw

using a wood dowel or something similar. Push your valve out towards the front by sticking the wood dowel into the opening that your ram was in. it should slide out pretty easily. I have seen the problem mentioned above. Sometimes the oring gets pinched on the way out and can stop the vavle from coming out. look throught he hole where the valve set screw goes into and see if it is getting pinched. use something to push it back in as your pushing the vavle from behind. worse comes to worse you can always replace the oring if you chew it up.

Sorry to state this if you already did this, but you did remove the VA right? If not, the VA screw will extend up and prevent the valve from coming out the front.

VA = Vertical Adapter. The thing the regulator screws into. If you look into the bottom of it you will see that there is a hollow hex bolt that screws into the body. That bolt extends into the bottom tube and will prevent the valve from coming out.
